Sunday Suggestion – Still Corners – Berlin Lovers

London duo Still Corners are group that take cinematics and visual imagery as their influence and inspiration to their music with composers such as Ennio Morricone sitting alongside shoegaze and electronic artists in forming their body of music so far. They deliver this visual imagery well as their 2013 album Strange Pleasures demonstrates. ‘Berlin Lovers’ is a track from the album that instantly evokes imagery directly linked to the title. The angular electronica that opens the track instantly offers up that modern stereotype of Germany and it’s efficient music. This is met with the wistful vocals of Tessa Murray and the loose production which allows for their sound to breathe and grow. These create soften edged to the naivety presented in the lyrics to marry the idea of love in Berlin  more naturally. An excellent track to get lost in on a bright day.
