Single Review – The 1975 – Love Me

The Manchester Pop-group The 1975 spent much of their time between their debut album and now treading a fine line between Indie Mediocrity and general Mediocrity  and with their new track ‘Love Me’ they have firmly fell into the latter category. They retain their unjustified arrogance and poor lyrics and put out all the stops in an 80’s tack-fest with the over-weighted percussion and novelty synths. They don’t even do it with a Peter Gabriel eccentricity and musical capability, but it is a purely hollow take on what is a hollow sound if you’re just after something else other than music quality. The Vamps ran away with the musical quality they thought they possessed.  What a Tragedy…
