Single Review – The Sherlocks – Live For The Moment

With bouncy percussion and swaggering guitar riffs, not to mention a heavy helping of Arctic Monkey style sneeringly irresistible vocal, much like the band’s previous tracks, The Sherlock’s single ‘Live For The Moment’ is an upbeat indie gem, fit to parallel the genres 2005 high. Searching and hopeful instrumentation leaves ‘Live For The Moment’ feeling infused with enough The Libertines-esque energy to power the band’s ever growing rebellion. Recorded at Rockfield Studios in Wales, and produced by Gavin Monaghan, ‘Live For The Moment’ see’s the two sets of Bolton upon Dearne brothers – Kiaran and Brandon Crook, Andy and Josh Davidson – craft a track fuelled with the raw passion of four guys stood in a garage dreaming of playing in-front of a packed venue. With those dreams having well and truly become reality, this is the sound of a band loving what they do bottled into 3 minutes and 41 seconds.
